What was the business need?

The most important goal for SOFTIQ and the client was to create a platform that will be integrated with thousands of external systems and to streamline the process of filing, granting and accounting for social benefits, as well as exclude the possibility of granting benefits to a person who should not receive them.

At SOFTIQ, we are in charge of maintaining and further developing this system.

What was the challenge?

The biggest challenge was the creation in a short timeframe of a new module for handling childbearing benefits from the "Family 500+" program, which makes it possible to apply for payment of benefits through an online platform.

Emp@tia and our CSIZS project are closely linked. Through the e-wnioski function (online applications), people submit applications that go to ZUS or to municipal and county social welfare centers.

We also dealt with substantive modification of forms, adding accounts for various entities (e.g. Entrepreneurs, Organizers of rehabilitation holidays), in accordance with legal requirements and current demand.

How did we do it?

The Emp@tia portal was built on Liferay 6.1. In addition to the entire application system, we also created a website, serving as a source of information about benefits and subsidies (500+, 300+, social assistance, benefits, KDR - Large Family Card).

The most important functions of the Emp@tia portal are:

Register of nurseries

Register of day care providers

List of companies providing discounts within the framework of KDR

Register of organizers of rehabilitation periods and implementers of rehabilitation periods

From the Emp@tia level, we launched the e-wnioski module, which is a separate system. After logging in, users gain the ability to submit applications for benefits, for example parental (500+, Good Start), family (Becikowe, Nursing), Large Family Card, and Nursery Register.

PIU Emp@tia consists of 2 parts:

informational - provides access to comprehensive information for citizens and entrepreneurs regarding the implementation of social benefits

service (e-applications) - makes it possible for citizens to carry out administrative matters in electronic form
